That’s exactly what we’ve done.
Using only responsible catching practices and working with properly managed fish farms, we’ve remained committed to preserving ocean waters and marine life while fishing the Central and Western Pacific from Hawaii, the Philippines Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Indonesia.
We work with multiple conservative groups, foundations, governments, and world leaders to develop new technologies and processes that are becoming industry standard, while we continue to charge ahead in new groundbreaking areas of fishery data collection, management and conservation.
We were the first company to use barcodes to track fish from the moment they are caught until they reach our customers. To this day, each fish and its finished products have a bar code which allows business managers to trace its origins.
It’s a standard that many fisheries are now looking to use today. We have even helped competitors install electronic traceability systems, develop better processing practices and managerial reporting as our commitment to traceability extends beyond ourselves.
While other focus on what can be done, we strive to go above and beyond, to set the bar for what must come next. There is no “Best”, only “Better” and it’s part of our policy of continuous improvement. It’s this dedication toward enhancing our quality, our practices and our environment that set us apart.
We catch and distribute only the highest-quality seafood. That’s why some of the world’s finest restaurants and hotels rely on Norpac to stock their kitchens. Our staff is trained to identify the necessities of quality fish, with perfection for our tuna and snapper, to ensure our customers only consume the finest seafood.
