We are focused on our responsibilities to those who work for and with us.
The men and women who work on land and sea, in our processing facilities, administrative offices, sales offices, on our fishing vessels, are all paid a fair wage, and their employment meets local laws and standards.
Further, we voluntarily submit our processing facilities and fishing vessels to third-party audits designed to verify our claims. These audits are distributed to our customers, as well as reviewed by our management team. The audit results supplement our efforts of continuous improvement and uphold the advancement of human rights and personal dignity of all our employees. This is true of both Norpac employees and our suppliers. Additionally, our seafood suppliers are also subject to these third-party audits for both food safety and employee practices. We put forth great effort to verify that all our supply chain involves only legal labor at fair and legal wages. If we cannot verify this, we do not buy, it’s that straightforward.
